Privacy policy
Effective September 5, 2026
Information we use
We use your name, email address, password hash, project memberships, site details, floor plans, and deliberately captured Wi-Fi observations to provide the service. Observations can include SSID, BSSID, signal strength, frequency, channel, timestamps, device information, and a point you select on the floor.
Nearby diagnostics and location
Nearby browsing starts after sign-in and stays on your device unless you deliberately save observations in a survey and sync them. Android may require Location permission and enabled Location services to scan Wi-Fi. This operating-system requirement does not turn on GPS attachment: geographic coordinates are optional and off by default. A survey records GPS only with your consent.
Sharing and service providers
Authorized project members can access data according to their role. Service administrators can access records for support, security and operation. We use a hosting provider and a map provider when you open a map. We do not sell survey data or use floor plans, network identifiers or location for advertising.
Device storage and security
The Android app encrypts account-specific offline survey records and stores session credentials using platform secure storage. Signing out locks access to locally saved work. Requesting deletion removes local records for that account. Web browsers retain a session token and display preferences. Protect your device and sign out on shared computers.
Retention and deletion
We retain active account and project data to provide the service. Accepted account-deletion requests are scheduled after a seven-day grace period. Survey observations created by the deleted account are removed and its account identity is anonymized. Shared projects can remain available to other members; the last owner must resolve ownership first. Downloadable report files expire after seven days. Limited billing, security, and deletion records may be retained for legal obligations and dispute resolution; deletion-request records are retained for up to seven years. Backups are removed according to the service backup schedule.
Your choices
You can decline GPS attachment, sign out, request account deletion in Account, and contact us to request access, correction, or an export. We may verify your identity before acting. Contact us if you have a concern about how your information is handled.
Changes
We will update this policy when our practices change and seek consent where a new use requires it.
